About Krysten, UK Freelance Illustrator

Hello there, my name is Krysten Newby – a versatile UK freelance illustrator and graphic designer, residing in Bury St Edmunds, located in the rural county of Suffolk.

I have been doodling and creating for as long as I can remember – I’m a self confessed O.C.D sufferer (Obsessive Creative Disorder). Growing up in rural Suffolk, I’ve always been so inspired by my surroundings consisting of wildlife and miles of gorgeous countryside. Birds & British wildlife in particular are my number one source of inspiration, you’ll see it a lot in my work.

In 2014, I graduated from University Campus Suffolk with a Bachelor’s  first class degree in Graphic Communication. Since then, I worked for a few months at a local design studio, then went off on my own to do part time freelance work, which I’m pursuing today.

I guess you’re wondering what I get up to when I’m not designing, eh? Well,  going back to my admiration for wildlife again, another passion and hobby of mine is taxidermy. I’m an ethical taxidermist (Since 2013) and for my final project at Uni I combined my design skills with my taxidermy skills and I now manage and own a brand by the name of Taxidermy Co. UK. Visit the website at www.taxidermyco.uk

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients working on a huge variety of projects including custom logos, full branding, packaging, tattoo design, posters, magazine illustrations, apparel & band merchandise, to name a few.

I’m always looking to work with new clients, so if you have a creative brief you would like me to bring to life, feel free to send my way! Or you just want to say hi, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
