I’ve recently worked with the wonderful IWF (Invisible Wounded Foundation) on a campaign to raise awareness for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

IWF was established to provide real help and support to our soldiers and service personnel who unnecessarily suffer in silence from witnessing traumatic events and situations.

The brief they gave me was to create an inspiring garment design that included military elements and a courageous looking lion. I took inspiration from a vintage military hat badge book I picked up at an antique fair some while ago – I knew it would come in handy one day! I love the aesthetic and composition, I knew it would work perfectly with this brief. I illustrated the lion to look strong, determined and courageous – much like our brave servicemen and women who may suffer from the horror that is post traumatic stress disorder.

Included on the back (and front) of the T-shirt is a typographic image and acronym stating ‘Proud. Tough. Strong. Determined’ which is a great demonstration of what this campaign stands for.
The money raised from the sales of the T-shirts goes towards IWF’s mission;

  • To raise awareness,
  • To raise funds to help those in need
  • To supply support were support is neededIt’s a great cause, so show your support by investing in one of these fabulous shirts in a range of colours!

    I look forward to working with the IWF again in the very near future.
