Wow! What a fantastic response I have received from my first flock of walnut shell bird’s nests, with their accompanying accurate eggs. I am absolutely blown away that they all found new homes within 48hrs of releasing them and I think I have, very aptly, the lovely people of Twitter to thank for this.
Being an artist on social media these days is very difficult and I am really not a fan of it, which is why I focus on making my websites a nicer place to be – I feel like every piece of work that has hours poured in to it is the equivalent of a lottery ticket on the endless sea of scrolling and the jackpot is the dreaded ‘algorithm’ favouring you that day.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has expressed their love for these little handmade treasures, in the form of any kind of engagement on social media to those who have purchased one, I am so grateful! :)
Scrolling through all of the tweets, there have been lots of suggestions on what birds I should make next and you may be pleased to know that I have already started on the second flock. New little sculpts to be released in this edition, will include:

- Swallow
